• University of Massachusetts Amherst, MA Research Assistant Feb 2005 Present – With Prof. Deepak Ganesan, Prof. Arun Venkataramani, and Prof. Prashant Shenoy – Have focused on sensor networks and wireless mesh networks. Worked on projects including PRESTO–a feedback-driven data management system in sensor networks ∗ PRESTO addresses the energy constraint of low-power sensor networks, and employs a novel two-tier sensor data management architecture comprising proxies and sensors that cooperate with one another for acquiring data and processing queries ∗ The implementation involves around 1,000 lines of TinyOS/NesC code and 5,000 lines of C code. The prototype is deployed on a sensor network testbed comprising thirty TelosB Motes and five Stargate embeded PCs. – MUDS–a utility-driven multi-user data sharing architecture in macro sensor networks ∗ MUDS addresses challenge of satisfing diverse requirement of multiple users in rich sensor networks, and employs a utility-driven approach to maximize data sharing across multiple users while judiciously using limited network and computational resources ∗ The implementaiton involves 12,000 lines of C code, and adaption of the QccPack image processing library for radar data processing. Deployed on a real radar testbed. – HOP–a block switched protocol for wireless transport
